Title: What is "JACoW" - the "Joint Accelerator Conferences Website"
(or sometimes even "Journals of Accelerator Conferences Website")?

This talk will give a bit of historical overview about JACoW since its beginning in 1996: its activities, when it started, how it developed and what it developed, and where it stands today. Its main purpose is the publication of proceedings of accelerator related conferences on the World Wide Web. But why this led to the development of an international collaboration that helps with its specialists to organize conferences and their workflow and which activities are covered nowadays will be explained.
