During this session we would like to find out how operators are trained at your facility. Is it a formal classroom training? On the job? A combination of the two? Who does the training? What training aids do you use? (Video, signoff sheets, self-tests, completion tests, book, simulators, etc.) How long does the training take? How do you determine completion of the training and record it? How do you monitor training to make sure they are progressing at a reasonable rate? Do you alternate theoretical training with hands-on? Do you offer refresher courses? Are their other methods to keep their training current? Do you do the training on shift or during the day only? Do you cross train the operators ? give them a chance to acquire skills not immediately related to Operations. |
