Grant Programmes

A certain number of grants will be offered to young scientists to attend IPAC'10. There are two types of grants available:

IPAC'10 Grants
for young graduate students under 30 years of age. The financial support will cover full conference registration and living expenses, and in certain cases a contribution towards travel. Applications must be made using the on-line application form via JACoW profiles and accounts. Applications for a student grant must be supported by a letter of reference from the student's supervisor, or someone in a similar position within the student's institute.

The letter of reference must reach the IPAC'10 Local Conference Secretariat (secretariat@m.ipac10.org), by 9 December 2009.

It is expected that students who receive grants will present their work in the Special Student Poster Session to take place on Sunday, 23 May.

Students are invited to consult the Accelerator Prizes page for details of the prizes offered to PhD and diploma students based on the work presented in the Special Student Poster Session.

Fellowships by Industry
offered to young scientists who reside in low income countries and who are working in the field of accelerator physics, accelerator associated technologies or accelerator applications. They will be selected from the list of applicants for IPAC'10 Grants following specific criteria and taking into account comments made by the sponsor. Applications must be made using the on-line application form via JACoW profiles and accounts. Applications for a fellowship must be supported by a letter of reference from the researcher's division leader, project leader, or someone in a similar position. The financial support will cover full conference registration, as well as a part of travel and living expenses (selected persons will be notified in due course of the exact amount and method of payment).

The letter of reference must reach the IPAC'10 Local Conference Secretariat (secretariat@m.ipac10.org), by 9 December 2009.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 9 DECEMBER 2009
