IPAC Logo Competition Winner

Following the announcement of a competition to find a logo for the new IPAC series that:

  • captures the spirit of an international conference and symbolizes the composition of three distinct components that form one entity,
  • should be readily identifiable and not be confused with any other logo or suggest affiliation with other bodies,
  • should have some relation to the main theme of our conference series: particle accelerators

we are pleased to announce the winner.

Claudio Federici of the Frascati Laboratory in Rome proposed the logo reproduced below in several colour combinations.

The logo is currently being used in preparation for the second IPAC in the series, IPAC'11 to take place in San Sebastian, Spain.

Claudio Federici will receive an engraved plaque and a gift from the Japanese hosts of IPAC'10.

The winner of the contest was chosen by an international jury composed of past EPAC and PAC OC Chairs, current and future IPAC Chairs, and the IPAC Conferences Convener for Europe.

The intellectual property rights of the logo will reside with the sponsoring organizations of the IPAC events.
